A really interesting article on the shortcomings of traditional recruitment metrics (cost per hire and time to hire) and some interesting views on alternatives.
Measuring 'quality of hire' really requires talent acquisition to record similar data to talent management so that you have a useful benchmark for assessments that are repeated throughout a person's tenure. It makes real sense to be measuring the staffing quality of individuals they bring in to the business, although it takes patience to allow the time to pass that is needed to gather this data.
This then throws a different dimension on to the selection of a talent acquisition platform as it needs to be able to measure and record these skills and maybe offer a single platform for all talent acquisition and management activity.
quality of hire measurement should include how long it took the employee to become fully productive, how s/he ranks among peers, and whether or not s/he is a cultural fit.
